How much does camp
cost?
$175 | Early Bird
Registration | Before April 12th, last day April 11th

Is
there an early registration discount?
Yes, if you turn your application postmarked by
April 11th, 2010 you will receive a discount of 35
dollars.
When are camp fees and applications due?
We will be taking camp applications until all spots are
filled. Spots are available on a first come first serve
basis. You can guarantee a spot by turning in a
completed application and your $50 deposit. WARNING:
Spots will fill in quickly so make sure to get your
deposit and completed application in as soon as
possible.

Are children allowed to receive mail at camp?
The Camp Paran Postman delivers mail on a daily basis to
campers at Camp Paran. As an alternative, you may bring
your mail and packages to the registration desk on
Sunday to be delivered during the week. The address and
phone number are as follows:
Please note that the above phone number is to be used
only in an emergency. Children are not permitted to call
home; therefore, parents are strongly encouraged to
write their children. Care packages, words of
encouragement and heartfelt prayers build up your
campers. (Note: Please do not send electronic games or
radios in care packages to camp)
What
items should be brought to camp?
- Clothes: shorts,
T-shirts, tennis shoes, jeans (required for horseback
riding), swimsuit (modest one-piece or tankini), creek
shoes*, plenty of socks and underwear for five days
(please mark name on all articles), one semi-dressy
outfit for the camp banquet on Thursday night. *Please
note: flip-flops are the number one cause of scrapes at
Camp Paran; please provide creek shoes and tennis shoes
as safe alternatives.
- Bed Linens: pillow, sheets or sleeping bag for
sleeping on a single bed (warm blanket is advisable, it
may get chilly)
- Bath Items: towels, washcloths, soap,
toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shower shoes and other
personal items.
- Misc. Items: Bible, pen or pencil, hat,
flashlight, insect repellent (with deet) and sunscreen.
- Optional Items: “Squeeze Breeze” battery
operated fan/ water bottle, camera, film, ball glove,
and indoor board games for a rainy day.
- Spending Money: We will provide all meals but
children may want to buy snacks, drinks, small
souvenirs, draw string backpack, or extra T-shirts at
the snack shack. Extra T-shirts will be $10. Each child
may want $20 - $30 for the snack shack.
What NOT to bring:
Cell phones, radios, personal music players, video game equipment,
fireworks, firearms, tobacco, weapons, alcohol, drugs,
pets, kitchen cookware, silly string, stink bombs, water
balloons. ALL ITEMS WILL BE CONFISCATED.
Who
keeps track of spending money?
A camp bank will be available for campers to deposit
money prior to their departure. The banker will keep
track of money and all unused money will be returned to
the camper upon request.
What time will the children depart from Mount Paran?
Buses will promptly leave the Church parking lot at 8
a.m. on Monday, June 7th. Please arrive no later than
7:15 a.m. to allow time for check in and loading of
luggage. Please note: Breakfast will be provided on the
bus ride.
Where and what time should I pick up my children?
Buses will arrive at the Student Life Center parking
lot. We will return on Friday, June 11th,
at Noon.
Will
chapel services be held at camp?
There will be 2 services held per day. Morning service
will consist of a time for worship, skits, games,
scripture memory, and devotional message. The nightly
service will have praise and worship followed by an
exciting illustrated lesson.
Should we call or visit our child during camp?
We ask that you do not call or visit your child during
camp because this may cause homesickness and will
detract from the camp experience. Parents are strongly
encouraged to write their children. Care packages, words
of encouragement and prayer will build up and enhance
your child’s camping experience.
What
is included in the cost of camp?
Each child will receive (1) All activities including
horseback riding (2) Food & Lodging (not including items
from the snack shack) (3) Transportation to and from
camp (4) 1 T-shirt (5) Camp DVD and Photo CD Per Family
Lost & Found:
Please mark your camper's belongings. It is the camper's
responsibility to check the office for lost items. A fee
will be charged if you request us to ship lost and found
articles. Lost and found items are kept only until the
end of August and then are donated to charity.
Can a parent/adult become a volunteer for camp?
Yes, any adult can apply for a camp counselor position.
You must fill out an application as well as pass a
background check. If you are accepted as volunteer to
this year's camp your registration costs are free.
Are there are discounts for children who's parents are
going to camp as a volunteer? If you are an
adult volunteer, your children may go at a camper
discount.
